Restoration of Routemaster RML 2390

First all the panels were checked for damage and those were then replaced.

The bonnet of the bus was repaired with fibreglass.

All the seats were removed from the bus so they could be redone with a new powder coating.

The walls & ceilings were sanded down to receive their new colour.

The RML was restored from Western National Colours to the traditional London Routemaster Red colour with the internal colour yellow.

The old London Transport logos were applied to the sides together with the RML Number on the bonnet and Routemaster Hire Logo on the rear.

New rexine was applied to the walls and new lights fitted.

The Seat cushions were re-upholstered with new cloth and vinyl edging with Rexine on the back boards.

The floor on the upper and lower decks was then varnished.
